Hassan al-Shaer was reportedly shot by Israeli forces near the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, as stated by the Ramallah-based Palestinian Health Ministry.
Local sources indicated that al-Shaer, from the town of Habla south of Qalqilya, was en route to visit friends in Ramallah when he was killed. The Israeli army has not yet commented on the incident.
With al-Shaer’s death, the Palestinian death toll in the West Bank since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 706, including 160 children, 10 women, and nine elderly individuals, according to the health ministry.
